So they are buying them for 30 to 40 cents on the dollar and when they sell them in a good market there wil lbe a killing made.REITs concentrate more so on commercial real estate and that market is definitely in the dumps right now. the thing about residentail is that people always need a place to live even if they are just renting and not buying and that is what brings in money too.Keep in mind that it is a private equity fund thus to invest you would have to do so through vehicles like your pension, a fund of funds or if you yourself are a very high net worth individual.If I have answered your question great!
